Summer Edition

The Heat is On!

Summer means fun in the sun, camping and trips to the beach, bike rides and barbeques. But according to the National Weather Service, extreme summer heat may give you more than just a tan. Unforeseen hazards, such as dangerously heated surfaces, unextinguished campfires and injuries from outdoor sports, may put a damper on your sunny season.

WEATHER TO PREPARE™ is a national consumer education campaign developed by RED CROSS® Johnson & Johnson First Aid Kits and the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration's National Weather Service (NOAA) to underscore the importance of proactive preparation for weather-related events and to offer preparedness education tips on first aid/wound care, handling of emergency situations and weather guarding one's home.

The WEATHER TO PREPARE™ program offers tips to avoid being burned by some of summer's potential pitfalls.
